Primary Purpose/Function:
The instructional coach will implement into daily student instruction appropriate educational
curriculum based on the Nevada State Standards. The instructional coach will create and maintain an educational atmosphere that encourages effective student learning and supports school and CASLV programs and goals. This person will be expected to adhere to the CASLV Student and Parent Handbook, Special Education Guidance Manual, and CASLV Personnel Handbook and report directly to the school site administrator.

1. Administer appropriate district curriculum which is aligned with the Nevada State Standards.
2. Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive environment.
3. Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning condition in the instructional environment.
4. Develop and implement the Effective Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Lessons for instruction.
5. Provide professional development, modeling, and assistance for teachers to promote the integration of Nevada State Standards supporting student achievement.
6. Analyze student progress and provide appropriate instruction.
7. Develop, coordinate, and recommend professional development based on staff needs.
8. Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed at all times.
9. Develop a classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions.
10. Work professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and community.
11. Integrate technology into the instructional program.
12. Provide instructional support and assist with data analysis.
13. Prepare and model literacy lessons.
14. Participate in other job-related duties and activities related to the position as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Education and Training:
An earned master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Licenses and Certifications:
Hold or be able to acquire, by the time of appointment, appropriate Nevada school administrative endorsement.
Strong preference will be given to those candidates who can share various types of a specific school or district data that have improved as a direct result of their leadership.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 50% sitting, 25% walking, and 25% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
