Position Overview:
This is a 2-year Grant Position
The Technology Content Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the integration of technology into the educational process. This position focuses on curating, creating, and managing digital content and resources to support teaching and learning. The specialist collaborates with educators, administrators, and IT staff to ensure effective use of technology tools, platforms, and content that aligns with curriculum goals and improves student engagement.
The Technology Content Specialist is also responsible for maintaining the school website and curating, creating, and managing the content for the school social media accounts.
This position may require traveling to campuses on a periodic schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Curation & Development:
- Maintain school websites
- Create content for school websites and social media
- Attend school events or visit campuses to take photos and videos to create content for school social media accounts
- Create instructional videos, scripts, and manuals for software used by staff (i.e Infinite Campus step by step guides/videos)
- Create, curate, and organize digital learning resources, tutorials, and content to support K-12 curriculum objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate technology and digital tools into lesson plans.
- Develop engaging multimedia content for instructional purposes (videos, interactive presentations, etc.).
- Prepare digital content for marketing and enrollment department (flyers, ads, website pages, social media etc)
- Training & Support:
- Attend or organize meetings as required
- Provide training and professional development for teachers and staff on best practices for integrating technology into teaching.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting for educational technology tools and platforms.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT staff to ensure digital tools and content are accessible and functional.
- Coordinate with administrators to implement district-wide technology initiatives.
- Data & Reporting:
- Monitor reports and use on social media and technology tools/software
And any other responsibilities / duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Digital Marketing, or related field.
- Experience working in K-12 education is preferred
- Proficiency with digital learning tools, Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia content creation platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to provide professional development and training to educators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Digital Marketing or a related field.
- Experience as a classroom teacher.
- Knowledge of data analytics and educational assessment tools.
- Familiarity with district or state educational technology standards.
